Privacy Policy
Effective Date: Aug 11, 2026
Trade Wings Capital ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website www.twcapital.ca or engage with our services.
We handle your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation. We are accountable for the personal information in our care and apply PIPEDA’s fair information principles — accountability, identifying purposes, consent, limiting collection, limiting use and disclosure, accuracy, safeguards, openness, individual access, and the right to challenge our compliance.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of personal and non-personal information:
- Personal Information — Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, business information, and other details you provide through website forms, funding applications, or communications with our team.
- Non-Personal Information — Browser type, IP address, pages visited, referring URLs, and other analytical data collected through cookies or tracking technologies.
- Bank Account Information — If you choose to connect your business bank account, we collect read-only banking information — such as account and institution details, balances, and transaction history — through our banking-data partner, Flinks. See “Bank Account Connection (Flinks)” below.
Bank Account Connection (Flinks)
When you choose to connect your bank account, that connection is provided by Flinks Inc., a Canadian financial-data platform. You enter your online-banking credentials directly with your financial institution through Flinks’ secure interface — your banking login credentials are never seen, collected, or stored by Trade Wings Capital. The access is read-only: our funding team receives a copy of your account and transaction information to review your funding request, but we cannot move money or make changes to your account. This information is used only to assess and service your funding request, and Flinks processes it within Canada. Connecting your bank is optional — you may provide your bank statements by other means instead.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide and improve our services
- To communicate with you about funding inquiries, services, or account updates
- To respond to requests for information or documentation
- To comply with legal obligations or protect against fraud
- To analyze and improve website functionality and user experience
SMS Communications
By providing your phone number through our website forms or other communication channels, you consent to receive SMS messages from TRADE WINGS CAPITAL regarding your funding inquiry, application updates, or service-related communications. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP or request assistance by replying HELP. SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information with:
- Service Providers — Trusted third-party vendors that assist us in operating our business, such as payment processors, CRM systems, marketing platforms, and technical service providers.
- Banking-Data Partner — Flinks Inc., which securely retrieves the read-only banking information described above when you choose to connect your bank account. Flinks processes this information in Canada.
- Legal Requirements — When required by law or to protect our rights, comply with legal processes, or prevent fraud.
- Mobile Information Sharing — No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Cookies and Consent
Our website uses a small number of essential cookies needed for the site to function. We also use standard website analytics to understand traffic and improve the site. Analytics cookies are loaded only after you accept them through the cookie notice shown on your first visit — you may accept or decline, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s stored site data. Where analytics collect an IP address, it is anonymized. You can also control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect certain functionalities of the website.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse — including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) transmission of information submitted through our website, and limiting access to your information to the team handling your file. Where you choose to connect your bank account, that connection is read-only and secured by our banking-data partner, Flinks; your banking credentials are entered directly with your financial institution and are never seen by us. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. For more detail on how we protect your information, see our Security page.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required to meet legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations. When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to stop using it.
